She always lived surrounded by animals and practiced horseback riding from an early age. These circumstances dictated her interest in Veterinary Medicine. She entered the course with the intention of becoming an equine veterinarian. However, interest in the small animal clinic spoke louder and she ended up following this area.

In parallel with the university, she took several training courses, including Initial Training for Trainers, having then been invited to teach some courses in the area.
In 2011, she obtained a Master's degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Évora with a dissertation on Atypical Canine Hypothyroidism, having published the results of this study and others in several congresses.

Over the years of her university life, she had the opportunity to work as a volunteer at the Food Bank against Hunger and at an animal association.

She has regularly invested in training in Veterinary Clinic Management and Team Leadership at national and international conferences.

In addition to her interest in management, her passion is surgery, having performed more than 1000 soft tissue surgeries. She obtained a Post-Graduation in Soft Tissue Surgery from the Lusófona University of Humanities and Technologies. Subsequently, she also participated in several modules of the Post-Graduation in Surgery promoted by the Autonomous University of Barcelona.

Every year it carries out national and international training, namely by attending conferences of reference institutions such as the British Small Animal Veterinary Association (BSAVA), World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WSAVA) and Federation of European Companion Animal Veterinary Associations (FECAVA), as well as participating in scientific meetings such as the Southern European Veterinary Conference (SEVC) and the European Congress of Veterinary Dentistry, as well as the congresses organized by the Portuguese Association of Veterinarians Specialists in Companion Animals (APMVEAC), the Ordem dos Médicos Veterinários (OMV) and the Montenegro Veterinary Hospital.

In 2012, the opportunity arose to embrace a new challenge: to be the Clinical Director of Clínica Vet Planet do Barreiro. She has since been responsible for the Vet Planet Group.

Her pet was called Estrelinha, a dog that was rescued from the municipal kennel of Monsanto. He lived for 13 years, providing many joys and having fun with his pranks and good mood. Awaiting the arrival of a new pet soon, which will be in its new home next month.
